Title Textbooks in Chemistry - development and the current state Abstract The dissertation is devoted to the evaluation of selected chemistry textbooks from the period 1850-1980. At the beginning of the work is a comparison of the textbooks research in our country and abroad, the development of chemistry at primary and secondary school and historical development of chemistry textbooks in our country. Subsequently, there are criteria mentioned for evaluating textbooks, possible methods of research and finally evaluation of eight selected textbooks is carried out. The intetion is to make certain retrospective kind of writing history textbooks, which can be an inspiration to the authors of textbooks of chemistry. Presented perspectives, evaluation of textbooks and summary closure of analyzed textbooks can also help teachers to choose textbooks from a wide range of offers on the market.

This thesis deals with the analysis of problem-solving exercises of selected chemistry syllabus topics for the GCSE exam. The theoretical part starts with a brief description of the conceptual evolution of the chemistry GCSE exam. Furthermore, the subject of chemistry in the Framework Education Programme (FEP) for secondary schools (gymnasium type) is characterized, and a list of the most common types of chemistry problems in the admissions exams for universities is presented. In the practical part, the authors compare the relation of chemistry GCSE topics at selected gymnasium schools with the learning objectives and syllabus defined by FEP. The partial aim is to analyze the preparatory problem-solving exercises for university admission exams and for chemistry GCSE exams in terms of a structure and prevailing typology of learning tasks. The authors have created a set of more complex exercises that emphasizes an interconnection of selected topics from organic and general chemistry. This outcome represents a potential contribution to the educational practice.

This thesis deals with creation of new textbook for high schools and gymnasium students. The main focus of this work is mainly on general prinicples and laws in chemistry. Great attention is dediacted to atom structure,chemical bond, electronic effects, resonance theory, induction and mesomeric effect. The core content based on RVP is supplemented by parts for work with talented students. Every chapter is supplemented with number of excercises which should be used to complement the subject matter. Tereza Sejková: Educational materials in topic of chemical nomenclature for secondary and high school. Bachelor thesis. Prague: Charles University, Faculty of Science, 2016 The bachelor thesis is focused on the topic of chemical nomenclature for secondary and high school. In the theoretical part, there is an explanation of chemical nomenclature and the norms for this topic in Framework Educational Programme and School Educational Programme. In this part, there is also a comparison of three selected School Educational Programmes. The practical part is focused on mapping educational materials in the topic of chemical nomenclature using online survey and evaluation of textbooks using the literature search and in advance established criteria. The last part contains the own educational materials for fixing knowledge in the theme.
